Blue Lotus (Nymphaea Caerulea) is a water lily that has historically been known as the "blue lotus" and "sacred lotus". It was considered extremely significant in Egyptian mythology, since it was said to rise and fall with the sun. Nymphaea caerulea is distantly related to, and possesses a similar profile as Nelumbo nucifera, the Sacred Lotus. Both Nymphaea Caerulea and Nelumbo Nucifera (Sacred Pink Lotus) contain the nuciferine and aporphine. It is commonly used in perfumes and aromatherapy. Many believe it has a "divine" essence, bringing heightened awareness, and tranquility.  Blue lotus has a different profile when compared to our Sacred Pink Lotus (Nelumbo Nucifera) and White Waterlily (Nymphaea Lotus).
